About Balance

Balance was brought into existence in 2013 to serve compassionate, mindfulness-based yoga experiences that promote mental, physical and spiritual growth to help navigate the stressors of everyday life.

My intention is that you take some of that newfound awareness with you off of your mat and into your every day life.

My classes are truly are everyone. I will encourage you to find 'your' practice through a variety of poses, words and music. I will help you find your edge through breath and movement.


My goal is that you learn more about yourself so that you can live your story out loud off your mat.

My classes are fun and energetic and allow for participants to challenge themselves within a safe environment. I provide clear and detailed instruction, as well as model poses, all while encouraging participants to move through class in a way that feels right in their body.

My attention to alignment benefits those who are new to the yoga practice as well as seasoned practitioners. Variations of poses are always given.

Rachel

My classes are applicable to yogis young and old, seasoned or new. Together, we break down poses to speak to their anatomical ins-and-outs and to support proper alignment. We build organic heat through anatomically-oriented, mindful movement.

My extensive background in massage therapy allows me to speak specifically to our muscles and to educate practitioners on our body's subtle nuances, and to awaken to those nuances both on and off the mat.

I teach a vinyasa style yoga class with many opportunities for modifications, which makes my classes appropriate for all levels.

I love to mix it up by using a variety of poses that will keep you challenged in a fun, playful way.

Stephanie

When I teach a class, I lead you through an alignment-based yoga practice that's both playful and challenging.

It's my goal to not take myself too seriously, or this yoga practice too seriously. Life is too serious already, so let's have some fun and let it all go on the mat!

Hannah

Hannah grew up dancing in the Rochester and Buffalo area. She attended the Draper Center for Dance Education and Pittsford Dance Studio.


After high school, she moved to New York City where she graduated with a BFA Commercial Dance degree at Pace University. In NYC, she performed choreography by Talia Favia, Lauren Gaul, Scott Jovovich, Dee Caspary, Rhonda Miller, and Karla Garcia with the Hamilton National Tours cast for Broadway Cares.


She recently presented work at the Young Choreographer’s Festival in NYC. She currently resides in LA where she is pursuing dance professionally and is currently represented by Go2Talent.

Stephanie

My 'Fusion' class is a balanced blend of the Yoga and Pilates practice; it combines the fluid movement of Yoga flow with the mechanical precision of Pilates. 'Fusion' will offer mindfulness, fine tuning of the muscles and the melding of two thoughts of wellness. You will stretch, strengthen and lengthen the body.


Stephanie, currently residing in Eugene, OR, is a 200 hr RYT Instructor from upstate New York. Her teaching style is a slower flow. It implements motivational messaging, breath work, stretching, core work and flow. When Stephanie is not on the mat you can find her out in the woods exploring, hiking, and taking pictures to document her journey, or sometimes at the local brewery enjoying a tasty craft beer!
