What you practice becomes stronger, and at Balance, we’re practicing Loving-Kindness.
That’s not just a bumper sticker or refrigerator magnet. It’s not hippie (although we love ourselves some hippies ✌🏼❤️😁). It’s science. The study of the brain has unveiled to us the concept of plasticity. Yep. You can change your brain. We’re hard wired with a negativity bias; it’s just a fact! But another fact is that the practice of Loving-Kindness changes us.
What is Summer Love at Balance?
1️⃣ It’s a commitment to a daily Loving-Kindness practice (that’s about a 3-5 minute commitment).
2️⃣ It’s a commitment to three yoga practices a week. Just at Balance? Nope! I mean, we’d love you to be with us all of the time but, you can practice at home or at another studio. If you are not interested in Yoga, you can make a commitment to mindful movement. 🙂
3️⃣ It’s a commitment to one 20 minute weekly meditation. You can join Erica on Tuesdays at 6:45p or use her guided meditation. We’ll be tossing out guided loving-kindness meditations throughout the summer, feel free to use them and pass them along! Plus, there are tons of amazing podcasts and apps for guided meditation. Need some ideas? Just ask!
